The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the George Washington University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2025. We seek candidates with expertise at the intersection of artificial intelligence and robotics, including but not limited to theory and applications in machine learning, perception, planning, manipulation, and autonomous systems. The successful candidate will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary community with strengths in areas such as dynamic systems and control theory, AI safety and regulation, and human-robot interaction.
